Islamic Da'wa is
one of the fundamental duties of every Muslims. The
last of the divine scriptures from the God Almighty,
Holy Quran has mentioned about Da'wa in many
instances. For Sura Asr (Chapter ) of Holy Quran
makes it clear that, the whole mankind is in vain
except those who believe, do righteous deeds and
profess truth and patience.
When approaching
the Holy Quran and Hadeeth (which includes sayings,
practices and orders of prophet (saw)), there is a
right methodology that should be followed. This
methodology is called the Manhajussalaf (or Salafi
Manhaj) which means adhering to the understanding of
the Salaf (Predecessors who lived with prophet and
their succeeding generations for 3 centuries). In
short, it's illogical to make personal
interpreutations to Quran’s verses or Hadees.
Rather, the best way is to cling to the way of the
Salaf.
With the Intention
of Da'wa based on the Manhajussalaf, there are lots
of organizations and centers all around world,
preaching the true message of Islam. Of them, 'Ahle
Hadeeth' is one of the oldest organization which has
its sections in almost all states of India. In
Kerala, Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) works as
the State Section of 'Ahle Hadeeth'. Mujahid
Students Movement (MSM) is the student wing of KNM
and was found in 1971. It was the first Student
Islamic Da'awa Organization setup in Kerala.
In fact, MSM was
the necessity of the time. Because, population of
Muslim students in the schools, colleges and
universities increased multifold due to the social
and educational upliftment programmes adopted by old
leaders of KNM. MSM was earlier known as ISM
Students' Wing. MSM’s chief objective is to
propagate Islamic ideals and principles among the
student community in the campuses and schools.
Students of medical, law, arts, science and
engineering colleges imbibe the new energy emanated
from the workers of MSM and actively participates in
campus discussions and deliberations on Islam. These
students in turn prevents a large number of Muslim
and non-Muslim students from falling prey to false
beliefs, ideologies and doctrines.
